epidermis and underlay dermis. Dermis have the finger-like
protrusion into the epidermis, called dermal papillae and
the Meissner's corpuscle (asterisk) housed in the apical of
dermal papillae. Pacinian corpuscles (arrowhead) and
nerve bundle (arrow) are found in the deep layer of dermis.
